The Highway Code. This book
contains the
rules of the road in Britain for all
types of road user. It lists all road
signs and explains their meaning. It
gives guidance on driving and how to
use the roads safely. Many of the
rules are legal requirements. The
Highway Code may be used to establish
liability, eg driver at fault in a
collision.
To Drive In The UK. You will
need the
following to drive legally: - A
vehicle registered under the owner's
name
- A valid full driving licence
- A current Vehicle Excise Licence
- Valid insurance covering your use
of that vehicle
- A current
MOT certificate for the vehicle
