The borough of Taunton Deane is a mixed urban and rural district within Somerset, covering 178 square miles and home to a population of just over 100,000. There are approximately 45,000 dwellings and 4,000 businesses within the borough. The main borough council officers are based at the Deane House in Taunton.

There are excellent links to the national highway and rail networks enable easy access to most major cities, air and sea ports.
